Aphis Animal Import

From Aphis you can get a CSV file of animals for a farm.  Using the file conversion tool attached to this article you can convert that file into an importable format, import the file into BoviSync, and then run a report to see and verify the imported animals.

1) First download the attachment from this KB article and you will see a sample file, the file conversion tool, and a hyperlink to a report.
2) Download your file from Aphis.

Option 1:  Drag and Drop:
      3) Drag and drop the CSV file from Aphis onto the AphisConverter.exe file

Option 2: Run Converter
      3) Save the file as Aphis.csv.   PLEASE, Don't use the sample file, or you'll import sample data.
      4) Put the Aphis file you downloaded in the same directory as the AphisConverter.exe, replacing the sample file and any old files.  Then run the converter.


5) Take the bovicows and bovievents file and import using the Herd Management Software import.
6) Wait 30 minutes for the uploads to process (sometimes can be longer)
7) Run the report in the hyperlink in the folder.  That will show you the recently added heifers.
