Breed Holds

Breed Holds

Breed holds indicate that an animal should not be bred for some period of time. During that time her repro status will be "hold" instead of "open".

A hold will always start on the date of the event.  A breed hold can either be entered with an "end date" or without. If a breed hold is entered without an end date, the next hold entered for that animal with an end date will close that hold, combining the events. Holds may be entered in the mobile app using "current date" as an option for the end date.

This event can be used with sick animals for example if you have an animal with Toxic Mastitis and you would like to hold this animal to get bred for two weeks, you can put the end date on, and the animal automatically returns to her previous repro status.
