Error message: BoviSync keeps stopping (detailed version)

If your device keeps flashing the message:  "bovisync keeps stopping"   this article will help you solve the issue.  This is known problem on select Android Devices.  It seems to be impacting a lot of Samsung devices.  Google has since patched the problem as of March 22nd 2021. 

You must update both the following applications from Google Play Store:
  1. Android System WebView
  2. Google Chrome

Below is an example of the error message:



Step 1.  Open Settings


Step 2.  Scroll or search in settings for "Apps"   then tap to open up the Apps settings


Step 3.  Next search for "Google Play Store" inside of Apps


Step 4.  Tap on "Storage"


Step 5.  Tap on "Clear Cache" and "Clear Data"


Step 6.  Close Settings and return back to Google Play Store.  Tap on the three horizontal lines, then tap "My apps & games" Lastly, tap on "Update all" 


Step 7.  The apps will begin to update. 

Step 8.  After all the apps have updated, restart the device

Step 9. Open BoviSync
