Background and Purpose
BoviSync allows users to use both current and new bulls in events. Many farms are using bulls that haven't been added to active sire lists. Entries and imports create "farm sires" in pedigrees, breedings, and implants when they don't exist in the BoviSync Sire database. Following the instruction below, users can edit farm sires.
The BoviSync Sire database is updated regularly with active sires. Farm Sires are merged when NAAB codes match active Sires. All events and pedigrees are updated to the active Sire. This allows reports to include Sire data items. Global sires in the BoviSync Sire database are not available to edit.
