Import Purchased Events

Import Purchased Events

This Import option will allow you to create new purchased events or update existing purchased events.    See the examples below and attached file template.

File Setup and Columns

Animal API ID
Event API ID
Date (d/m/y or YYYY-MM-DD)

The animal's eartag or registration number (must match BoviSync)
The animal's API ID (must match BoviSync)
Use the Event API ID use this report for reference
Date of the Purchased event 

If you are updating an existing event it must match exactly what is currently in BoviSync
Enter whole numbers for example. Avoid using decimal places

Enter who you purchased the animal from.  This could be a common name or a DHI code examples below:

Similar to Source.   Enter text into this field.  Examples are:

Invoice Number (enter the number only)

A custom note to place any other information.  Avoid using special characters such as  (! , : ; @ $ # % & *)
Must contain "TRUE" or "FALSE" 

TRUE = Updating Existing Event
FALSE = Creating New Event



File Examples

Updating Existing Purchased Events in BoviSync:

Replace value is set as TRUE  (Column 10)


Creating New Purchased Events:

Replace value is set as FALSE (Column 10)



Saving the File

The file must be saved as a .CSV (comma delimited) file type.   The file does not require a special name.



Importing the File

Navigate to Setup > Imports > Purchase Event Import  or Click Here
