Import csv from non-US excel formats (semicolon separated csv files)

When you export a report from BoviSync, does it look like this in Excel? (everything in one column)

You need to make some changes before you can import your .csv into BoviSync. 

  1. Save your excel file as a .csv

  2. Find the location of the saved file, and right click on the file to open in notepad or something similar

    1. Right click on the file to open in Notepad or a similar program (not excel)
  3. Click on Edit > Replace

  4. Use find and replace to replace , with . if you are using numbers with decimals. If there are no numbers with decimals in the file you are trying to import, skip to step 5.

  5. then, replace ; with , 

    1.  
  6. Save the file


  7. Now you are ready to import!

    1. to double check if the file saved properly, open it normally in excel and see if everything is in one column and separated by commas (,)
