Add variables to auto downloaded report names

Add variables to auto downloaded report names

As of 7/8/19 there is a new feature which allows you to add certain variables to auto downloaded reports. This can be helpful when looking at many reports with the same name. This will provide some differentiation for users looking at these reports. Report variables that can be added are:
  1. Farm - first 12 characters of the farm name
  2. Farm ID - API Id of the farm
  3. Year - 4 digit year
  4. Month - 2 digit month
  5. Day - 2 digit day

The result of adding these variables to the report looks like this:




To add variables to any auto downloaded report go to Setup --> User Preferences --> Linked Computers --> select the linked computer from the drop down


Once you have the linked computer selected, edit the report you would like to add variables to the name.


Update the report name with the variables you would like included in the report name and press save button. All variables must be in all caps and contained within the red braces {VARIABLE} 

Examples of the acceptable variables:
  1. {FARM}
  2. {FARMID}
  3. {YEAR}
  4. {MONTH}
  5. {DAY}


You can see a preview of what the report name will be when downloaded.
