Set Event Set Technicians in Mobile App

Applies to BoviSync version 1.5.23 and greater of the app. 

This feature allows the user to set technicians for specific events within an Event Set but you must have an admin permission level to save changes.

When you open the BoviSync app go Event Sets.

Once on the Event Sets, press and hold on the event set that you would like to add technicians to. This will only set the technicians for the selected event set. When the window appears for the event set, select Set Technician.

Here you can add as many technicians as you have available on your farm to the event set. Any technician added here can be used for any event or chore within the event set that you selected.

Select the Add Technician button at the lower left of the screen.

Select the technicians you want to use in the event set.

Continue to add technicians until you have all of the technicians you would like to use in the event set.

Press the arrow at the upper left of the screen.

After you are back at the Event Sets screen, press and hold the event set you just added technicians for. This will bring up the window to edit the event set. Select Edit to edit the event set.

Next, select the individual event or chore within the event set. This is where we will set the app to allow you to choose a technician that you had previously set or to use the user logged into the app. I'll select the Bred event for demonstrating this feature.

Under the event or chore you will see this setting Technician for Event. 

The options are:

1. Logged in User - when selected this option will save the user logged into the app to all events and chores created or saved. This is the default option for all chores and events.
   
2. Choose - when selected this option will prompt the user to choose a technician for each event or chore that is created or saved. This can be helpful when you have multiple users potentially entering information on a single phone, like in the event of multiple breeders.

Back to our example, select Choose.

Repeat this for as many other events or chores within the event set based on your needs.

It is recommended that you Save Settings to Bovisync now so you do not

loose

this change when you sync the phone. To do so, navigate back to the home menu of the app by pressing the 3 lines in the upper left corner and then select Exit Event View.

From the main screen go to the 3 lines again in the upper left corner and then select Settings.

Select Save Settings to Bovisync. You will see a notification at the bottom of the screen when the settings have been saved.

If you were to go back to the event set example we just saved, and select the event that we modified, as soon as you scan or type in an ID and finish entering the event details you will be asked to Choose the technician. If you had this event set to Logged in User you would not be prompted to choose a technician.

Note: This will only change the technician options for events that are entered. To change the technicians that are set for chores to be completed, see this article.
