Cow Manager Interface (API)

The following instructions outline the steps required to connect BoviSync and Cow Manager using the API/cloud interface. These steps apply to the BoviSync side of the integration.
Warning
You must have Admin permissions, to setup Access or Interfaces

Grant Permissions to Cow Manager in BoviSync

Farm Access

1. Go to Account Management
2. Select Farm Access Tab
3. Grant the following user account access:  
  1. CowManagerTeam_Admin_API


Team Access

2. Select Team Access Tab
3. Grant the following team access:
  1. CowManagerTeam


Setup Cow Manager Source in BoviSync

1. Go to Interfaces
2. Add Interface
  1. Name:  Cow Manager
  2. Equipment/Software:  Cow Manager Cloud
  3. External Farm ID:   Cow Manager External ID

FAQ

Q: I just setup the connection, but I do not see any data populating?
It can take up to 60 minutes for the first synchronization to complete.
Q: How can I see the Cow Manager data in BoviSync?
Heat and Alert events are created in the system.  They can be viewed on the animal page, or on a report.
Q: When an animal is in Heat can BoviSync trigger a Breeding Chore on the mobile app?
Yes! This can be setup with a Protocol.  If you would like assistance implementing the protocol, please contact our Customer Success team.
