Barcode Scanning in Mobile App (Phone Camera)

You can use your device's camera to scan barcodes (1D & 2D) into the BoviSync app!   Note: depending on the quality of the device's camera you may see different results.  

Written Instructions:

1.  Install this (FREE) Keyboard Add-On from Google Play Store here




2. Set this Keyboard as your phone's default keyboard.   (This is only required when doing the Scanning, you can change the keyboard back to Gboard or Samsung when not scanning if you don't like the look of this one)


3.  Adjust the Camera Settings for Barcode/OCR Keyboard as follows:

Depending on your phone's camera type you may have better results with Focus Mode set to Normal

4.  Tap "Barcode" to initiate the scan.  The camera will automatically open.
Make sure the cursor is flashing in the "Note" field!


5.  Tap on "OK" to confirm 


6. The barcode is automatically placed into the Note field
