Easy and powerful reports demonstrate the next generation of BoviSync reporting. Save time with quick filters. Replace excel with advanced features. These reports are being used to manage dairies of all sizes.

Report Map and Global Reports:

Before you start, make sure to check your report in the report map or in the search area. BoviSync has a large library of commonly used reports by dairy farmers and consultants.

Types of Reports:

  1. Animal Report: Each row in this report represents an animal (no animal will be present twice on the report). The default report contains three columns: Pen, EART, and DIM.


  2. Event Reports: Each row represent an event or a chore (you get to select if you want Events, Chores or both). The default report opens to the event selector, with three columns: EART, EvDate, EvType.



Adding a Column:

You can add a column in two ways:
  1. Type the short name (abbreviation) of the item into the small search bar.
  2. Type the full name, short name, key words for the item in the large search bar.


Date Range:

Animal Reports date is set to "Today" by default. Animal Reports only display the live animals on the dairy at that date range. When you change the date range, you can include sold animals.

Event Reports date is set to the last 90 days. You can change the report date from the side menu.



Filters:

The Filters are located on the side menu. You can also use quick filters within the column header.


Charts:

Bovi-Insights Modern offers a lot of option for charts with different styles. You access the charts either from the side menu or the toggle on the right hand side. Another KB article will be coming soon that explains this!
 

Print and Export:

With Bovi-Insights Modern you can export to CSV files or PDF. This option is also available in the side menu.



Saving a Report:

You can save a report from the side menu and also give it a name, abbreviation, save under your User account, or under the Farm account.

User reports mean that you can find this report in any farm that you are logged into. Farm reports mean the report will be saved under the farm's account. Only users who have access to the farm can see that report.



Sharing a Report:

You can always share a report by copying the web page URL. However, if you want to share it with a short link, you can use the three dots on the top right.



Sharing reports is an easy way to discuss your data with your consultant or BoviSync support. You can always save a shared report, if you find it useful to you.

Other Features:

You can batch enter events directly from a report, select the animals you want and select "Enter Event"
Pro Tip: You can select animals one by one, or by selecting the top animal, hold the shift key, and select the bottom animal. Or, you can use the filter ID in Range (paste the numbers from a spread sheet)
You can open the animal's page (card), by selecting the group of animals you want, use one of the previous methods, and select "Animal Page Tabs".
Note: Your browser will block opening multiple tabs for the first time. You will have to allow it manually when you receive a warning message.
Finally, you can "Refresh Data", which is particularly useful, if you want to check if data has been entered, or a phone has been synced without re-opening the reports.
