Import EID Pairs

Import EID Pairs

When buying eartag-EID sequences, the tag supplier generally will or can provide you with a CSV file of the eartag and EID pairs.  You can import this file with the sequence of numbers into BoviSync. BoviSync will then automatically assign the EID for new calves (and hide the EID field), update missing tags if you get the file in late, and provide a summary page that displays inventory numbers of available/used tags. If your tag supplier did not provide you file a pair file, click here to create your own file

Written Instructions:

1. Go to https://bovisync.farm/id_pairs/ - The following page will open:

Here you can see current inventory numbers. See how many are remaining, the most recently used tag, and the last tag available.

2. To import new pairs, click the 'Import Pair File' or click here

3. You will be brought to the following page:

4. Click 'Choose File' and select the file given to you by your eartag supplier.
5. Click 'Import'

Note: The file MUST be a .CSV file type in order for the import to succeed.

6. Return back to https://bovisync.farm/id_pairs/ to view your inventory:

The file MUST be saved as a .CSV file type

If you get the ID pairs from Allflex, you can download the file with the tags using the Master ID at http://www.allflexlink.com/.

The EID pair file can either be imported having EID on column A and eartag on column B or Eartag on column A and EID on column B.
